Responsibilities:
This position will report to the Regional Supply Chain Manager and will support regional sourcing & purchasing, vendor development, (locally and worldwide) and price negotiation with the vendors on a host of issues such as competitive price, delivery schedule, quality and customer service etc. He/She will work closely with group companies purchasing and logistics team. He/She will also work with Regional Technical Engineer for product development.
The successful candidate will support the Regional Supply Chain Manager in:
•Develop regional sourcing and buying strategies, cost reduction business plan, and compliance parameters;
•Reduction in purchasing costs and ‘cost of poor quality’ (COPQ) of purchasing process.
•Organize and hold Annual group companies regional supply chain/ Procurement conference
•Optimization plan for vendor development
•Manage activities for the corporate consolidated purchasing program for the APAC region. Coordinated purchasing project activities for all operating companies.
•Monitoring the process quality management and continuous improvement of performance level (KPI). The company’s quality management system includes implementing cost reduction programs, Procurement process optimization programs, and ensuring that projects will optimally execute and cater to the benefits of the organization.
•Assisting any projects assign by management.
Requirements:
•Diploma/Degree in Chemical Engineering/Business Administration or its equivalent
•Min 5-6 years working experience in sourcing, regional purchasing, logistics and /or material control environment preferably in graphics ink and chemical industry environment.
•Good followership, Result-oriented and self-motivated
•Excellent negotiation, communications and interpersonal skills
•Analytical and attention to detail with accuracy
•Good Oral and written English and/or Japanese will be ideal.
Others
•Experience in tracking commodity price movements.
•Exposure in Strategic Sourcing.
•Strong negotiating skill and client’s networking skill.
•Must have demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.

Description
-Sourcing for competent suppliers to fulfill the on-going material ordering and quotation.
-Perform order (PRS) fulfillment and associated procurement activities.
-Expand the suppliers’ network for future needs in anticipation of competitive EMS environment.
-First Article management to approvals, engineering arbitrations/resolutions.
-Supplier management and development include the following:
•To pursue the consistency in cost, quality and lead time.
•To generate an overview of the delivery schedules for each ordering, suppliers’ readiness of upside.
•Conduct supplier evaluations to ensure competency and compliance to quality. This includes periodical site assessments and sample inspections.
•Maintain and update cost databases for each ordering and pursue continuous cost competitiveness and savings.
•Drive initiatives on consolidations plan.
Requirements
-Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering or relevant disciplines
-Minimum 5 years relevant working experience – sheetmetal, frames, casting/machining, extrusion/machining, weldments, metal/plastic
-Experience in High-mix / Low-volume manufacturing environment will be preferable
-Knowledge of BAAN ERP systems
-Possess good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with internal customers (management and employees) and external customers (suppliers)

Description
• Manage materials ordering, delivery confirmation, scheduling and on time delivery to meet master production plan per MRP
• Ensure timely material supply by reviewing weekly/monthly production assembly forecast and schedule, ensuring timely update of order delivery status.
• Support monthly and quarterly inventory target, order cancellation and rescheduling
• Monitor and address supplier delivery performance (MRB/RTV-quality reject, capacity etc)
• Manage materials phase-in/out plan and minimize obsolescence
• Sensitive to potential problems and effective actions and thorough follow-up carried out to ensure the schedule is not jeopardized
• Responsible for purchase variance ( STD/Stake ) and participate in cost reduction programs
• Make tactical buying decisions and capable of executing strategy
• Develop and drive VMI, JIT and lead time reduction programs etc. with vendors to achieve optimum inventory level.
Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing / electronics environment, preferably contract manufacturing
• Specialize in fabrication, machining and mechanical parts

Summary of Job
-Manage regional purchasing and vendor development functions; accomplish regional purchasing quota, plan and report regional work directly to regional Supply Chain Manager.
-Updating on vendor development and Sourcing efforts viz. Cost reduction programs, Price increase, Dual Sourcing plan, vendor production & Quality process auditing, documentation & compliance.

-Study and analysis of business environment, product market, demand/supply, price movements, customers and characteristics of their process inputs/buying strategy, competitors, regulatory/policy issues, shipping freight; Tariff cost etc.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
A good team player, self-driven, able to work under stress & meet tight deadline.
Must be detail-oriented.
EXPERIENCE
-Min 5-7 years working experience in sourcing, regional purchasing, logistics and /or material control environment preferably in graphics ink and chemical industry environment.
-Experience in vendor development; International trading
-Strong negotiating skill and customer networking skill
-Must have demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Economics, Supply Chain Management or related disciplines.
